The aim of this study was to examine and compare the models of MIKE11 and SVM in Flood flow in the lower reaches of the river. In the present study, based on the physical and hydraulic information of the route, a hydraulic routing of the hydrograph of the flood between the two hydrometric stations of Holeilan and Tang-e-Sazbon in the range of the Seymareh River, Ilam province, was first dealt with. For this purpose, 365 cross sections were considered for this purpose in the Mike11 model. The SVM model was then used to predict the flood hydrograph in the interval output based on the input flood hydrograph information. Each of these two models was calibrated by a hydrograph of flood calibration and verified by two flood hydrographs. Finally, the upstream hydrograph with different return periods, was given to both models, and the flood analysis and prediction in the output intervals of the interval with different return periods were performed. Comparison of the results of the two models showed that the accuracy of the Mike11 method is more than that of the SVM model. In fact, the performance of the two SVM and Mike11 methods was very close to statistical analysis. Considering the RMSE and NRMSE and NASH statistical indicators used to evaluate the results from all flows, the Mike11 model has more satisfactory results than the SVM model, but if the criterion is just prediction of discharge peak, the SVM model is somewhat better than the Mike11 model.
